Odenwald round trip – in the footsteps of the Romans

Almost 2,000 years ago, the Romans cut a path through the woods and built a guard path with watchtowers. Today you can follow in their footsteps.

You and your guide will explore the original location of the Limes watchtower and visit reconstructed Roman architecture. You‘ll also learn about Roman bathing culture, which was intended to give home-sick soldiers stationed in the inhospitable north a little luxury and a reminder of home.

En route you will visit the Villa Haselburg, the excavation site of a Roman manor. The tour can be extended with a visit to Eulbach Park, Germany‘s first archaeological park.
